Once I graffiti a giant “K” on this shirt, it’ll pretty much sum up how I feel about running right now. 13.1 miles is a long way to run and I’m not entirely sure I can actually do it. I’m two weeks into my pre-training (yes, pre-training. If you’ve never run before you need to train for the actual training!) and I’m doing 2 minutes running 2 minutes walking for 30 minutes. This feels doable and actually healthy and it’s nice meeting all the dogs in the neighborhood as they bark (growl and gnash?) as I trudge by in my runners. It’s a little more embarrassing seeing neighbors though while I gasp for breath and try not to sweat profusely if I have to stop and say hi. They say “dance like no one’s watching you.” I guess running is the same thing. Hence my search for statement tees. I’m loving the ones I’ve seen by this local Seattle company called “Oiselle“. I think I will buy the Fa shirt above and this “Runbow” tee is quite cute too.
And I like this Running Squared tee, but I think it would be better named “got the runs” (I’m a boy mom-I can’t apologize for that one. Too easy.)
And I know I’ve seen someone wearing this shirt and I would love to know who you are and where you got it-I can’t find it ANYWHERE. Something about the fancy writing just makes me smile and I wish I had one too.
I heard by week 4 I might actually start liking this sport. We’ll see.
