Shopping and Running

April 15, 2012 by admin

Remember that running thing I started doing?  I’m still doing it and it’s almost been a month.  I still mostly hate it, and now I’m at the  3 minutes running/2  minutes walking point but at least the walking part hasn’t been eliminated yet.  (Thank God!) But the coolest thing I’ve found is that running has introduced me to a whole realm of shopping I didn’t really tap into before I started this kick.

Like shopping for house numbers.

Modern ones like these ones seem really trendy right now.

And these ones too.

And I’ve seen these on a lot of the newer houses I’ve run by.

I wonder if new house numbers would count as a purchase on my Workout Want list?  (FYI-this is my workout reward system.  For every 15 workouts/runs I get to purchase something off my list.)  Technically if I’m running by house numbers, and they help my workout, they do count as something that promotes further exercise, right?

I love the idea of a workout wish list. So much more motivating than a stagnant scale:)

  2. […] So many houses in the neighborhood are going this color and it’s catchy.  I also want new house numbers, but you knew that […]

I’m late to the party, but I have been seeing those top numbers EVERYWHERE in Portland.

I’ve been seeing them more and more in Seattle too. Love them. I still haven’t updated my house numbers, so you’re totally not late;)
