I think I might have overestimated my running skills when I signed up for that half-marathon a little while back. Or maybe I decided I wanted to do it in less than the 6 hours I thought it would take me when I signed up for the race. Over the past couple weeks I have been running more and loving it. I even found a running app that helps me calculate my time and distance and it’s made me run farther and train harder. I also bought some nice running clothes thanks to a Seattle line called Oiselle. And then I figured out I can’t run and talk at the same time when I went running with a friend and ended up kissing the pavement big-time. But I do like running solo. It makes me feel independent and strong.
I ultimately decided to give up on my Lululemon Seawheeze goal for this year and revisit it next year after I’ve actually tried a 10km and trained more. It’s not like I’m stopping running-I’m revising my goals. (Beth Baker I’ve really started running and I’m going to be looking for your help pretty soon!) But, in honor of not-doing the Seawheeze, I decided to go fully sloth.
