A reason to get a Seattle Aquarium membership

Seattle aquarium with kids preschool program

I think we have memberships to almost everything in Seattle and our membership to the Seattle Aquarium is one of my favorites.  In the summer the aquarium has early mornings for members and we’ve enjoyed being in the aquarium when it’s completely empty.  I also just found out they also have a couple classes that are open to members only and we tried one this past weekend that was just magical.  My current trip obsession is Iceland, so this puffin class was perfect for helping promote this goal. The boys loved making their puffin hats and have been wearing them all week.

They watched the puffins get fed and saw the special door their keeper feeds them from.

And I (yes me!) had so much fun watching them feed the starfish.

And meeting this strange creature.  I wish I could remember what it was.

Anyways, there is one more class left if you’re interested: this next one is about seals and it looks like they have a session for 4-6 year olds and a session for 7-9 year olds.  I hope the Seattle Aquarium offers more classes like these because this was fantastic!
