We’re 6C and we know it (A travel tip)

I wish I could say I only do this when we travel, but I learned this trick when the boys were babies and I got so scatterbrained that I would lose the “Silver bus” everywhere we went.  Thank you to my handy smartphone (I swear this is the most mom-friendly invention of all time), I just take a picture of the landmark we’re parked next to (thankfully at Pacific Place they’re well marked) and then if I do misplace my vehicle I have an easy clue.  I don’t have to remember where a parking slip is, or write down anything, I have picture proof. This is my all-time best travel tip as I’ve never lost my car since I have had an iPhone.

Travel tip on how to remember where you parked your car

On trips this is especially useful because when I’m in an unfamiliar place, with an unfamiliar vehicle, the last thing I want to do is waste my precious travel time looking for my car that was parked next to a palm tree, or was it a banana bush, and what did my vehicle look like again?  And come to think of it, I don’t think I’d be able to remember my license plate number any more either.  Do you have an all-time favorite travel tip to share?

  1. I do the same thing! The other night I was in Downtown Denver by myself. I had to park in a parking garage and walk a couple of blocks to my dinner destination. I was so worried I wouldn’t find my way back to my car that I took pictures with my phone the whole way to my destination…my own version of breadcrumbs!

    1. Awesome:) Thank goodness for technology. Do you know how many times I’ve been lost (even with maps!) before GPS? Yay for virtual breadcrumbs!

  2. Ha! Great title. My hubby always takes a picture of our parking spot number. Way back when I was a kid, my parents forgot where they parked in the enormous Disneyland parking lot. The attendants asked my parents what time they got there and were able to pinpoint a section of the parking lot to search. They would have loved a smartphone picture back then.

  3. Yep, I do this too. Couldn’t live without out it! I love the creative title, although if that song is permanently stuck in my brain today, I am blaming you! 🙂
