Tip #1: do not bring a table as a carry-on.

Of course this is not my table.  I’m perfectly happy with the just over 8.5 x11 size tables we get in my regular airplane seats.  But if you were thinking of bringing a table with you on a flight I can tell you for certain that other people will not be pleased.  I was actually asked if this was my table by other passengers on our flight because it was blocking some prime seats in the airport.  I was a little tempted to tell them that yes, it most definitely was.  But instead I provided this enlightenment:
Tip #2 if a table is blocking chairs in an airport it might be a good idea to presume they are broken.
