So we bought a Tesla Model S in 2015, and I try to write about the road trips we’ve taken in our Model S with the kids whenever I can.  We’ve visited Whistler, Couer D’Alene and Vancouver Island and it’s been really easy to charge and drive on and on and on.  And I know that Tesla doesn’t USUALLY offer coupons or anything, but when my husband got a referral code in his inbox with actual news to support that it’s reality ages ago it was a nice surprise.  This link used to give you $1000 credit but now a couple years later it still gives you supercharging credit so at least there’s that.

But what it gives me too is what I’m also excited about.  Apparently if you refer 5 people you get an invite to the Tesla Gigafactory and my husband has promised that if that happens I totally get to go.  I LOVE factory tours and seeing how things are made and where they come from. So I’m hoping that one day I’ll be able to visit the Tesla factory and see what it’s all about.  If you’re buying a car, and in the spirit of trying, here’s our Tesla Referral link, just in case.

Go ELECTRICITY! (Doesn’t it feel like it needs a Cheer?)

If you’re think about electric cars, the reason we ended up buying a Tesla is because I tried out a Chevy Volt that uses both electricity and gasoline and I loved that I barely used up any gas in the time that I was borrowing the vehicle.  This trial made our family think about how we drive and travel and ultimately helped with our decision to buy a Model S.  Nowadays there are a ton of options out there for electric cars (I’m still totally tempted to get a Model 3) and I can only imagine what the future holds.

(PS. FYI this whole post is about the affiliate link that I’ve talked about above.  These opinions are my own.)
