Fall Days Flying By in Seattle

Spread the love

Where are all the days going?  I decided late last night that I do want to make ornaments for the boys’ advent calendar and so now I’m guaranteed to have at least two homemade felt ornaments for them to find.  (I have to make 2.444 a night for the 9 evenings until December 1st if I want the whole thing completely ready……we’ll see.)

Nine days can really fly by in a whirrr. Just looking at the pics in my phone, here are some of the things we’ve done only in the past week…starting with these yummy treats at one of our favorite pho places.

The boys fell in love with the Museum of Flight on one recent extremely rainy day.  I could barely extract Leelee from the planes and the Bean really loved the super super fast plane (my words not theirs. I can’t remember what it was called).  Why did it take us so long to visit this place?  (we came out with a membership…this museum is awesome!)

That same day we visited more planes at the Red Robin on the wharf, and I celebrated my (uggh!) double sweet-sixteen with the three sweetest boys in my life.

We had a few sunny days and found that two boys can still swing in the same swing at the park even with extra layers and gloves.

We bundled ourselves and went to our community tree-lighting.

Some warm slippers came in the mail.

We visited the zoo and fed the penguins.

And we cycled around our favorite park. (South Lake Union) and found out that the sailboat stand I read about ages ago really does exist.  Next Sunday is the last Sunday you can rent  little sailboats from the Center for Wooden Boats to float and the pond and then they’ll be back again in April or May. (This feels so New Yorkish to me, and I absolutely love it!)

But one of the sweetest surprises?  I found this photo that I must have accidentally snapped on my phone of my hubby and I while we were watching the kids cycle and for some reason, it just totally made my day.
