My guys are Caspar Babypants groupies and I don’t mind. His songs are entertaining and I love love love the artwork that his wife Kate Endle does for all the covers. Here is Leelee proudly holding his brand new autographed CD. (If you don’t know Caspar Babypants you might know his alter-ego Chris Ballew from the Presidents of the United States of America and the famous “Millions of Peaches” song from the 90’s.
Seattle has some serious Babypants love. When we went to check his busking out at the Ballard Market, we ran into a couple friends in the huge crowd watching him.
It was cute catching the Bean sweetly holding a friend’s hand.
Our friends’ mom also got the ultimate groupie job: at the end of the show, she got to help make the rockstar fireworks while Caspar jumped off his stool. After a Babypants show, it’s almost guaranteed my guys will attempt this off various high pieces of furniture with hands strumming their air guitars.
And a stop to the market would not be complete without a stop at Fresh Flours. It’s not a market booth, but we love to eat these pastries while we walk. Of course I had to indulge the Bean’s macaron addiction too.
Hanging out and watching Caspar Babypants with friends was a great way to spend a Sunday morning and it was so nice to have such a famous busker in the market. We’re looking forward to catching him at the end of summer with some of our other favorite kids’ bands at Tots N Tunes.
