Jaguars can swim. I never would have believed it if I hadn’t seen it at this zoo. We love the Singapore Zoo by the way. And now we know that jaguars can swim and it seemed like they could even smell raw chicken in water from the shore. Each time they dipped underwater they came up with chunks of meat to eat. Watching the jaguars “hunt” was magical and somewhat frightening at the same time-could the glass really protect us if the chicken wasn’t enough? Of course the boys were mesmerized. I would not like to meet one in real life and seeing the jaguars swimming gave me new appreciation for these beautiful animals.

The Singapore zoo seems amazing. I enjoyed your last blog on it, too, where the animals seemed to roam quite freely around the visitors.
Thank you:) So sweet! You’ll have to come one day!
Yes I would imagine its easier to watch one in the zoo than in the wild. I hope if i ever see one in the wild that i’m far enough away!
I hope so too!
Although you get to see free Jaguars in the tropical jungle of Guatemala I prefer visiting them at the zoo. 🙂
Would love to go see Guatemala, but maybe not the jaguars too;)
