We have a bunch of places where we like to take out food in Seattle when we just don’t feel like cooking. And waiting for our take-out from Chinooks at Fisherman’s Terminal is one of our favorite things to do. Apparently the boats from Deadliest Catch come here or used to come here-I’ve never watched this show (I don’t watch things with deadly in the name) so I don’t know for sure, but I do like the fact that this is a real working dock with real fishing boats. And it’s a great place to spend a few minutes or a lot more grabbing food and exploring.
There aren’t a whole lot of stores here, but I do love the little letterpress store here called Constellation and Co; it has some really adorable paper products and trinkets.
And my guys love to walk on the docks and watch the fishing boats. They also love to check out the crabs at the Wild Salmon Seafood Market and scramble around the boardwalk near the Seattle Fisherman’s Memorial.
We’ve never been here when it’s crowded. It always feels like we have the whole place to ourselves. So if you’re looking for somewhere that has a true Seattle feel, this is it. This is where some of us locals go. And this is one place in Seattle where you probably haven’t been.
(PS. I usually order the salmon tacos.)
