This is a sponsored post on behalf of Tutta Bella and their new at home meal ingredients at QFC and as always the opinions and thoughts in this blog post are my own.
If you’ve been following along with this blog for a while you already know Tutta Bella is one of our family’s favorite Seattle restaurants. We’ve been going there for nearly 15 years now, maybe even longer and it’s one Seattle place where my husband and I have memories pre-kids and post-kids. It’s also a restaurant in Seattle that has definitely withstood the test of time-it’s been around since 2004. So because of all the Tutta Bella history in our family, I was really honored when I was invited to try making Tutta Bella at home with their new meal ingredients that you can now find in QFC grocery stores in the Seattle area.
So what kind of Tutta Bella at home meal ingredients can we find in QFC stores?
If you’re in the Seattle area, check in the cold cases near the deli. This is where you will likely find Tutta Bella take and bake pizzas, to go salads, ready made pasta meals with meatballs, and even tiramisu. Our favorite salads are the Salerno salad and the beet salad and I’ve seen both at a couple QFC’s. We also buy the Margherita pizza often and it’s really easy to make a pizza as a main course or snack or even just part of a meal.
You can also check where you usually find pasta sauces in QFC and you will find Tutta Bella Marinara and Bolognase sauces there too. We recently had the marinara sauce with dinner to make a vegetarian version of Chicken Parmesan and we’re saving a jar of the Bolognese for when a certain uncle visits to make homemade past with the guys.
Tutta Bella at home means a little extra flare
So the other night when we made Tutta Bella at home we decided we would make Vegetarian Chicken Parmesan, oven roasted zucchini, a pizza because it was National Pizza Day and a Salerno Salad. For the oven roasted zucchini, we just make sure the oven is set at 400 degrees then we slice zucchinis and put them on a parchment covered cookie sheet, drizzle them with with olive oil, salt and pepper and put it the tray in the oven until the zucchini gets brown and shiny on the bottom and then we flip them (or we forget sometimes and they still come out okay). This takes about 20 minutes and if we have a lemon then we squeeze a little lemon juice on the zucchini before we bring them to the table.
We almost bought the Tutta Bella tiramisu for dinner too and we probably should have because we craved it, but I wanted to make my own dessert. I found an easy panna cotta recipe and picked up heavy cream and gelatin from QFC when I bought the other Tutta Bella at home products. The recipe took an easy 10 minutes to make in the late morning while the kids were at school and it was ready by dinner. I thought I bought raspberries but I forgot to put them in the basket(isn’t this always the case?) so I used oranges to make a compote and drizzled that on top too.
Easy meals like this are great for nights with sports, or school activities or even just to have a delicious dinner to celebrate watching the last episode of the Book of Boba Fett which we absolutely loved as much as our meal. I’m so thankful for Tutta Bella and cooking Tutta Bella at home with my guys is just one more memory we’ll have because of this brilliant Seattle restaurant.
Do you have a favorite restaurant that you wish you could buy some of their ingredients at your local grocery store to make at home? And if you’re not from Seattle, I hope you get to try this restaurant one day too!
