I received products to try from Kidpik and as always the opinions in this blog post are my own.
I don’t think Kidpik was around when my kids were little but I’ve seen it pop up in my instagram feed lately so I know the name and maybe you do too. I thought they were a kid’s clothing subscription service but I recently learned you can also purchase items by themselves on their site or items grouped in styled boxes and they have a big sale this week. I was invited to try a few items for review and it’s my niece and nephew’s birthday coming up so I thought I’d check out Kidpik because they have clothing in ranges 2T-16 which sounds like it would be perfect for these kids.
And yes you can do a subscription service with Kidpik
I’ve done boxes like this for myself and I kind of wish they had this kind of thing for older teenagers so I could do this for my guys. You put in your kid’s style and answer a few questions and you get sent a curated box of fashions in your kid’s size and you pay for what you keep and you get to try everything on at home. I love this kind of thing for when I want to try new styles and things I might not choose for myself in a store and this seems like a great way to shop for kids too
You can also buy things individually at Kidpik
Buying individual things is fantastic for aunts like me who are shopping for gifts for special littles in our lives. And this week there are so many things on sale. I found a cool shirt with “ski” written on it with kind of retro lettering that I’ll give my nephew because we like to ski together and I think it’s a pretty fabulous shirt.
And style boxes are available too
There are coordinated style boxes that you can purchase as well so I got one of these for my niece because so many things in the box seemed like things that she would like. (These are final sale so I took a bit of time debating a couple of boxes.) It even came with a cool bracelet accessory and I noticed a lot of the outfits had something like this and it felt like it was on sale for a pretty good price compared to buying everything on its own. Since placing my order I’ve also found a pair of star joggers as well that I should have added to my cart. I know she would love them. (I wish they came in my size because I think I would love them too.) And also this daisy dress with a hairband seemed like something we would both like too.
I can’t wait to see the items I chose in real life now. Have you ever shopped this online store? I’ll take photos of the clothes I chose when they arrive and add them to this post.
PS. Kidpik even has mystery bags and I have such a soft spot for mystery bags. (I think this started a long time ago at a Sanrio store in Hawaii I went to as a child and spent hours trying to figure out which mystery bag might be the best one. And since then I think I’ve seen them at Daiso sometimes and I have bought them at Bando too. And I guess Birchbox is a little like this for makeup-I noticed this just came back in my insta feed recently. And Too Good To Go is like a mystery bag for local food. Have you ever bought a mystery bag?)
