I think I gave myself the best present this Christmas.
A skating party with people I love.
And in the blur of all the Christmas shopping and merriment it was nice to just step into a winter wonderland and whirl around a rink with friends and family. I barely saw my kids because they wouldn’t leave the ice, but when they whizzed by they had smiles on their faces the whole time. We all did. Ice skating at Christmas is magical. (Even if you haven’t skated in years.)
A zillion “thank you’s” to my sis.
And to our lovely hubbies who didn’t appreciate the time we put into our embossed popcorn bags but helped out a ton anyways.
Next year, I’ll take more pics. But this is one of my favorite Christmas memories in my heart.
(PS the hubby made me pic up some skates before we left Canada today. There is amazing skate selection north of the border and I bought mine at Sport Check in Coquitlam Center.)
