The thing I’m learning about Christmas, is that it sneaks up on me even when I’m not ready.
So this year, I’m just going to take it as it comes.
And even if we don’t get everything done perfectly or if we miss out on some things, it will be okay.
It will have to.
Because we visited Santa the other day, and as I watched my guys earnestly whisper their hopes and dreams into the jolly sweet man’s ear I realized that time is zooming by.
ZOOMING.
My little babies are getting big so fast.
Too fast.
And if I keep trying to catch up with Christmas, I’ll miss out on everything.
And most of the important things take care of themselves.
New traditions happen.
And old traditions might skip a year or two.
And some things the kids will just create on their own.
So this year we’ll take a little time to celebrate and enjoy each others’ company and do what we can to make this season bright.
And I can’t wait to catch up in a week or two.
So Merry Christmas, happy holidays and best wishes for a peaceful and magical season wherever you are. I hope it’s full of glitter and tasty treats and lots and lots of love.
