There are two things we look for in clothes for my family-are they comfortable and can we wear them for multiple events? It’s even better if the clothing we buy travels well too because we’re always on the go and we need versatile clothing that is stylish and easy to care for. My guys have been wearing OshKosh clothing forever because of this and I really appreciate its durability. I like how the material feels and my boys seem to appreciate how soft and comfy it is too. I am thankful that the clothing I buy from OshKosh is affordable and on trend-I can always find fun patterns and clothing that my kids enjoy wearing. This kind of clothing helps us bring the fun with us when we adventure because I know my kids will be comfortable, stylish and happy in their outfits and I’m really excited about this year’s line of spring clothes from Osh Kosh; there are so many perfect choices for my 9-year old guys!
A few weeks ago we had a party in Vancouver, British Columbia for my mom who is retiring this year and I brought along a few spring clothes choices for the kids so we could play during the day and then look a little more dressed up at night. Have you been to Vancouver British Columbia? From Seattle it is only about a three hour drive, so we stayed downtown at a beautiful new hotel, the JW Marriott Parq which was nearby where the celebration would be and also nearby some fun activities for the kids. We started the day at Science World, a fantastic science center that I grew up visiting as a kid too. (And if you have a membership to your local science center, be sure to check if it’s reciprocal with others when you travel. We save so much money with our local membership-our Seattle Science Center membership also works at the Vancouver Science World so we get in FREE!)
I’m always amazed at how fun science centers are for both parents and for kids. Playing together makes learning so much more fun. I also love that it’s easy to get pictures of my guys while they’re doing something they’re engaged in. With two energetic boys in the family, we don’t usually sit or take the time for posed pictures so this is how I snap memories when we’re on travels or on the go in our own city. (The pizza shirt one of my guys is wearing is such a great shirt and the color photographs really well! I need to remember to bring it with us when we head to Italy soon. I noticed it’s out of stock but there is also this pizza shirt that is a good substitute.)
There is such a cool playground right outside the Science World so we had a lot of fun playing there as well. We took a little aquabus from Science World to Granville Island for lunch. The weather was pretty warm so we didn’t even need jackets and I love days like this in the Pacific Northwest. Can you spot the Canadian money in one of the pictures? When we travel we give kids a few dollars to spend in an area like Granville Island where we can easily watch them from a table and we let them go order something on their own. Here, they chose hot chocolates from Blue Parrot Coffee which has actually been a favorite of their grandpa’s since I was a kid.
After a day of adventure we were ready to head to the party. My guys love toucans and changed into the new toucan button down shirts I brought. I tried to convince them to buy different shirts but they wanted to match. Kids have their own ideas when it comes to clothes and kids fashion so I try and let them choose as much as they can and I love that these twins don’t mind matching every once in a while.
When I buy Osh Kosh clothes for my kids I often purchase them online because it’s my favorite way to shop but there are a few Osh Kosh stores on the drive between Vancouver and Seattle. If you are shopping for Easter or spring clothes I have a coupon code for you: it’s OKBG3434 online or 037686 in store and it should help save you 20% on most $40 purchases (there are some exclusions) and it expires April 30, 2018.
I also have a $50 gift card to Osh Kosh to give away so you can shop too! Let me know one item you would purchase in the comments below if you win the gift card and I’ll draw a name by April 15th, 2018.
(PS as stated above, this is a sponsored post and as always the opinions and thoughts in this piece are mine.)
Terumi Pong is a Seattle-based family travel writer and mom of twin teenage boys. She loves coffee and pastries, shopping local and looking for greener ways to live. She is also known as Scout’s mom (Scout is a 5ish pound little black yorkie-poo)
These definitely look like versatile clothing options. That’s the only thing that works at my home as we go from one thing to the next on most days!
I was actually looking at some cute Osh Kosh overalls for my toddler the other day. Left the store without them though because she was throwing a tantrum over a pair of shoes I wouldn’t buy her! 😉 I’ll have to go take another look without her,or as you say, shop online!
I would choose the Handkerchief Hem Tunic if I win.
Love Osh Kosh! Those toucan shirts are great!!
We love Osh Kosh! Looks like y’all had a blast in all these pictures ?
Love these looks! I live in Seattle too- versatile clothing that layers well is key!
We love Osh Kosh, great styles and prices! Too many cute things to choose so if I had to pick just one, the Bandana Sun Set in baby girls is adorable!!
We’re always looking for durable clothes for the kids! I would buy some lightweight jackets that the kids can take traveling.
I would purchase the cold shoulder chambray dress for my daughter to wear to her cousins graduation this spring. She is a diva and she lets us all know it.
I would buy the ruffle neck dress for my daughter.
I would definitely get my boys some swimwear for this summer!
The love rash guard or watermelon bathing suit.
Congrats Sarah! Can you please send me a message to Helloterumi@gmail.com. Thanks!
Hi Terumi!! I would chose the fleece lined heart jacket for our trip to the UK this June! Perfect for the blustery hills of Yorkshire!
I would buy the Follow The Wave Tee for my grandson. He loves sharks.
