November Ballard Blocks Donation Drive

Ballard Blocks Community Donation Drive for Ballard Food Bank
Spread the love

I’m so glad that Ballard Blocks is hosting its community donation drive for the Ballard Food Bank again and I’m helping to promote this on my instagram this month so I thought I’d share here too in case you want to learn more. My son goes to school in Ballard and this is where we frequently shop, so it’s nice to be able to give back when we can while we stop at Ballard Blocks.

community donation drive for Ballard Food Bank in November

From noon-6pm from November 1-12th you can donate non-perishable goods to the collection table that is located near the entrance to Trader Joe’s. I shop at both PCC and Trader Joe’s at Ballard Blocks so I’m in the area pretty often. The Ballard Food Bank has a list of needs on the Ballard Blocks website and I always find it helpful to look at this before I shop. I often donate things like pasta and canned goods but forget that non-dairy milk (the kind that doesn’t need refrigeration) is often a need too as well as things like toilet paper and soap. I know that it is also good to give monetary donations but this kind of donation drive takes off the pressure of giving a set amount-you can pick up one item or a whole basket. I find it helps me remind me to think about others when I pick up something at the store while I’m shopping. I think it’s good for my kids to also do this while we shop too so that they are reminded to think of others too.

Ballard Blocks is also hosting a daily giveaway during the donation drive through this link on their site and the prizes range from $50 e-gift certificates to a $500 e-gift certificate so you might want to enter this as well.
