Can we talk about all the things us parents need to get done throughout the week? And breakfast is one of those daily tasks we have on repeat. So I’m always looking for quick and easy breakfast ideas at home and on our travels, especially with our two growing boys. One easy breakfast staple in our house is yogurt like Yoplait Yogurt, especially the Yoplait Strawberry Original Tub that we often eat along with fruit and toast in the morning. It’s the type of breakfast that our whole family can all eat at different times before we head out the door but we can all eat the same thing so it’s simple to manage.
If I have a bit more time, I might make something like a strawberry yogurt cake to go with our Yoplait strawberry yogurt and fruit and I found a recipe that even uses strawberry yogurt on All Recipes and it’s not too difficult to make. I included Yoplait strawberry yogurt and changed the amount of yogurt to 1.5 cups based on the comments and used a bit less than the 1 cup of sugar it called for and next time I’ll probably add some lemon zest. My family really enjoyed this as breakfast and it even works as an afternoon snack-I like that it has calcium and real fruit.
On our recent trip to Oahu, we noticed our hotel room had a fridge and we went shopping for breakfast ingredients so we could have a breakfast picnic on our balcony in the morning. We were glad to find Yoplait Yogurt in single serving sizes in a nearby store and we picked up some fruit and local pastries. We made coffee with the machine in our room to go along with this breakfast. Hotel room picnics like this are one way we save money when we travel, and it also helps us eat more of a well-balanced meal than eating out all the time on a trip. I love when a hotel room has a useable fridge don’t you?
