Steveston holds a place very dear to my heart since my little sis lives there. She and her hubby have an amazing cookie company and it was so nice to visit them at the local farmer’s market a couple weeks ago.
I had fun checking out some of the other booths and the kids loved the great play area for kids.
And no visit to Steveston would be complete without a Screamer.
After the market, we headed out to Big Big Park to run through the sprinklers. This is such a cool water park and the weather was fantastic. This is one of our favorite places to visit in the summer. The park has a bit of a railroad theme and it is amazing it is free to visit a place like this.
In Steveston we also seem to frequent the same restaurants over and over again. We love going to Ichiro sushi or we often order in takeout from its sister restaurant Takeya. The Britannia Brewing Company has really amazing breakfasts. And the Steveston Bakery and the Sweetspot bakery are both places that have delicious pastries.
If you have a bit of time in Steveston, make sure to check out the Fisherman’s Wharf and if it is a sunny day, Gerry Point Park is another place we love a lot. There is a small museum in an old post office building called the Steveston Museum and Visitor Center and it’s a great place to learn more about Steveston’s interesting history.
