It’s garden show time again in the Pacific Northwest and while every year the Northwest Flower and Garden Festival is fun to visit, this 2026 show feels truly spectacular. With 21 gorgeous show gardens each constructed in the Seattle Convention Center in 72 hours, it is incredible how creative and vibrant this “spring parade” is in real life Seattle February. And while these gardens might only be dreams for many of us, I love how each show garden also has “take-home ideas” listed under their descriptions so visitors at the show can try a bit of the style in our own gardens when they go home. And with days full of seminars, and a convention center full of garden-themed vendors, it is easy to spend more than one day here and still feel like there is more to see. The Northwest Flower and Garden Festival runs from February 18-22nd 2026 and I have a little bit of a preview of some of my favorite show gardens on this reel.

One new to the show vendor that I am excited to see is the Simple Goodness Sisters with their Houseplant Happy Hour every day at 4pm. I have bought their products before and have been invited to their farm where they grow a lot of their syrup ingredients. And they have the cutest soda shop in Wilkison that you can visit too (just check the hours because this place is seasonal).
And is the Northwest Flower and Garden Festival good for kids?
I used to bring my kids to this show when they were little and we had fun checking out the gardens together (we didn’t try to do seminars or anything, I’m just getting into these parts of gardening now that they are older). And there is one thing that kids have at this show that adults don’t and that’s a Kid’s Treasure hunt. Every garden creator “hides” an item from the scavenger hunt in their garden for kids to find and note on the Treasure hunt sheet they can pick up at the show info booth and kids can trade the completed forms in for an easy to grow plant at the Information booth on the Skybridge at the show. I think this would be so fun for grownups too but I get why it’s only for the kids.
Often at the Toyota booth, I’ve picked up daffodils in the past and a few are even growing in my garden as I write this now (this year seems like a truly early spring!)
I went to the media preview for the show gardens the other day but I still need to check out the rest of the show later this week and will update when I can. I am also going to attend one of the Blooms and Bubbles flower arranging workshops. (These are put on by Slow Flowers and are really fun too) For now you can find all the details for the garden show tickets and hours here.
Have you ever been to the Northwest Flower and Garden Festival? What are you excited to see in Pacfic Northwest gardens for 2026?
