The kids have strong opinions about which summer camps they liked and didn’t this year. One of their favorite camps in Seattle was put on by the Seattle sounders and a big reason they loved it was because of the free camp appreciation day. I really think it was well-organized this year, so I appreciated it too.
Last year the duo was excited to go on the field and meet Mauro Rosales.
This year they were struck with the Dempsey hype and wanted to see who he was. (I think this is him, but I’m not so sure now.)
Deandre Yedlin was so fancied up Leelee had to confirm his identity on his autograph card. I love how meeting the players gets them so excited about soccer and I think this is such a cool summer camp for cresting this connection
And we ended up at Boom Noodle on Capitol Hill for the first time in a while. I think their menu might even be different than the Uvillage one now, but the guys really enjoyed the new kids’ bentos.
You choose 3 items and it comes to around 7 dollars. The kids appreciated that they could each choose their own things and they liked that everything came in separate dishes.
And I like that Boom Noodle is right next to Cupcake Royale. I still haven’t tried their ice cream yet, so I’ll have to remember that for next visit. The hubby’s favorite dish is no longer on the menu so he was a little disappointed, but the guys are determined we’ll be back.
(PS. In 2017 Boom Noodle is no longer open. It was such a great restaurant that I thought I’d leave this post up so people remember what a great family friendly restaurant it was.)
