Of course I doused my guys with Purell immediately after playing at this play structure, but the Exploratorium collaboration at the San Francisco Airport is the coolest airport installation I’ve seen.
The Exploratorium was one of the highlights of our recent San Francisco trip and it was quite a surprise when we found some of the museum’s exhibits at the airport when we were waiting for our flight home.
The mini tornado is amazing with swirling cold steam and the guys made friends while climbing and exploring as we waited for our flight. Playing here was such a fun distraction that our time at the airport passed very quickly and it made a part of travel that can usually be quite stressful a whole lot more calm. It is very cool that the San Francisco Aiport thought about a great way to engage kids with science before having to sit for a long period of time on a flight.
I know that flying with kids these days can feel so overwhelming. I am very thankful that the San Francisco airport is keeping the airport experience magical for kids! Did anyone else see any other fabulous things at airports this summer?
