This year the 8th Annual Voracious Tasting and Food Awards from Seattle Weekly and the Washington State Beef Commission will be held at Fisher Pavilion in Seattle Center. A humongous lineup of fantastic Seattle restaurants and food trucks will be there: Paseo, The Carlile Room, Dot’s Butcher and Deli, Dru Bru, Sky City at the Needle among many others will all be there with food samples. I love these events because they give a taste of all the cool restaurants in Seattle I always hear about but don’t necessarily have time to go and eat at each individual one. (Because that is how life is after kids sometimes, right?) And it is just so fun to wander and eat in the heart of our beautiful city.
I also love that this event gives back to a cause that is dear to my heart. I love the Pike Place Market Foundation. It is a non-profit organization that fundraises to support services for our low-income neighbors and supports a Senior Center, preschool, clinic and food bank. This organization really brings a village feel to our bustling city and it makes me feel proud that even in this over-digital age we can still get to know and help our neighbors in real life and strive for a community that cares and has a place for everyone.

Sounds fun! Paseo is great and there are a lot of restaurants that I’ve heard of but have never tried.
I’ve been wanting to try Dot’s
I have enjoyed your posts on the restaurants at the Pikes Place Market so I followed your advice and took my out of town guests to the market after a gorgeous fairy ride and ate at the Copacabana Cafe, it was outstanding.
That’s awesome!! I haven’t tried that restaurant yet so I’m glad to hear:) thanks for reading:)
Love the pike place market foundation. Great work

I love anything that has to do with food! Plus, this goes towards a good cause, so I’m hoping I get to go!
I’m super excited for Nutty Squirrel Gelato! I was so sad when summer ended and the pop-up closed in Capitol Hill!
The Carlile Room! I’ve never eaten there and have been meaning to.
I am excited to try my sweet lil cakes! What a fun way to experience our area!
There are so many new restaurants popping up all the time – I’m excited to try the ones I haven’t been to yet! Like Dru Bru!

This sounds like so much fun! I’d love to try some of the food truck food, I always hear about them but never seem to be able to catch any of them!

So excited that Dot’s is back!
Paseo… I haven’t tried it since the reopen of great fanfare way back when. 😉
I love fun events like this. I do NOT go nearly enough. We just spent a week in Chicago and did all the touristy things. I am thinking why do I not do that in Seattle?
