Should you happen your way to Pioneer Square Monday, December 5th, make sure you stop by Caffe D’Arte’s new home on the corner across from Magic Mouse Toys and Cow Chip Cookies at 99 Yesler Way. Everyone including the mayor will be there at 11am for a ribbon cutting and there will be free 12oz coffees from 10am-3pm. I’m hoping to slip in sometime between school drop off and yoga-coffee is such a necessity at this time of year!
I grew up hanging out in coffee shops with my dad, so I have spent most of my life around coffee and I get really excited when a new coffee shop opens. Caffe D’Arte is by no means a new coffee shop-it’s been around in Seattle since 1985 and I’ve had their coffee in many great coffee shops in the Pacific Northwest. But their flagship location is new and I love the cool building it’s in and it adds good coffee vibes to the Pioneer Square community. I’m excited for another place to stop by on the way to Sounders games!
At a media preview night I sampled a bunch of really delicious coffees that they will be serving in the new flagship cafe. I usually order something simple like a latte or Americano but I really enjoyed the decadence of this lovely espresso con panna.
I also was intrigued by a Nitro wood-roasted cold brew. I learned there are so many ways to make coffee….
I met the sweet owners of one of the businesses that supply Caffe D’arte’s pastries, French Connections, and I liked hearing that they have worked together for years. Loyalty in business is so important to me and it makes me want to shop at places more. I also love the partnership that Caffe D’arte has made with the Alliance for Pioneer Square. Caffe D’arte is selling a limited-time release “Pioneer Square Roast” and $5 from every bag will go to the Alliance to help out the Pioneer Square community. This would be such a great present for a coffee lover because it not only tastes good but does good too.
So if you’re in Seattle here’s another great coffee shop to add to your list! How do you like your coffee on a Monday morning?
