I created this sponsored post in collaboration with Auntie Anne’s however all thoughts and opinions in this post are my own.
The mailman told me today that summer is definitely on its way in Seattle and I totally believe him because there is actually sun popping through the clouds and I think the boys will be pretty warm again when I pick them up from camp. We have a whole summer of fun planned and I’m excited that it might actually be hot enough that we’ll have to worry about keeping chill. Here is our Summer Bucket List so far:
Basketball Camp: we tried one called One on One this week and it was really fantastic. My guys loved that there was basketball in the morning and Ultimate Frisbee in the afternoon.
Celebrating Canada’s 150th: the motherland is turning 150 and we can’t wait to celebrate with friends! We’ll be popping up to Vancouver a lot this summer and I want to do as many of the 150th celebrations as possible.
Visiting Massachussets: we head there in a few weeks and we’ve never been. If you have tips, please let us know.
Reading all the books: I need to make sure the boys keep reading this summer so we’re heading to Seattle Library to pick up our summer reading guide. Thrifty Northwest Mom also has a bunch of other Summer Reading Challenges we might check out too!
Low tide beach walks with the Seattle Aquarium. We are so excited to do this too! We had so much fun when we first tried it a few years ago and it’s one of our favorite summer traditions.
Playgrounds: We have tried to do 50 playgrounds in a summer one year. We are thinking maybe we’ll get up to 50 this year and I’m so thankful my guys still love to play at parks.
Bike Riding: The guys and I are dying to ride more! I recently went to New York State where I heard about an annual event where you can cycle the Erie Canal in July and we need to train so we can participate next year as a family. This is next year’s summer goals and my guys are totally excited to have a bigger purpose when we go on our family rides.
Keeping chill: cold drinks and yummy snacks. Bring on the sunshine-we love our summer snacks!
So how do we chill? We tried the new Lemonade Iced Tea from Auntie Anne’s and it was super refreshing and reminded us of Hawaii or California-two places we’re choosing between to add to our bucket list for the end of summer. It was icy cold and paired really nicely with the pretzels I brought the guys after camp the other day and they were so hot and tired from playing basketball that they were really happy to cool down with something so thirst-quenching.
For the launch of their Lemonade Iced Tea, Auntie Anne’s is holding a contest that if you share a picture of how you chill in the summer on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #AuntieAnnesChill and tagging Auntie Anne’s you can enter to win free pretzels for a year. We’re chilling with this post on instagram-I can’t wait to see how you show your #AuntieAnnesChill too.
(PS. As stated above, this is a sponsored post and I only work with sponsorships that I love and that I’m excited to share with you. My guys have had a long-standing adoration of Auntie Anne’s since they visited years ago and learned how to make pretzels!)
(PPS. Are you bucketlisting this summer too? I totally want to hear about it! Please share details below-happy summer!)
