I received Sambucol Black Elderberry Gummies products for free from Moms Meet to use and post my honest opinions. Compensation for this post was provided and this page may contain affiliate links.

I don’t remember a time when I’ve seen so few people in real life. We spent the summer in what felt like a family bubble and even now when we meet up with friends it’s still only at a distance or with mask on our faces. We order our groceries online and we haven’t been to a restaurant in months. And all around the world so many of us have been in the same situation. Except now it’s September and even though the kids’ back to school is virtual in Seattle I know our family is still headed for more social interactions than we’ve had in a long long time. So I’m looking for all the hand sanitizer and immune system support ideas to get us through the fall and winter season.

Sambucol Black Elderberry Gummies and other products

Sambucol Black Elderberry Gummies

I was really excited to try some Sambucol Black Elderberry products recently. I had a lot of friends tell me to try elderberry syrup when I used to take a lot of airplane trips and I was always meaning to check it out. Black Elderberry is apparently high in antioxidants and even though we eat fairly healthy I know that on busy back to school days we don’t always get all the nutrients we need.

Everyone in our family is over 4 years old so we could all try the Sambucol Black Elderberry gummies I was given from Moms Meet too. They have a pleasant, sweet and sour gummy taste so I could easily take the 1-2 recommended gummies a day. And it is nice that they are gluten, nut, soy, dairy, and egg free and only have 1g of sugar in each gummy. We don’t have any of these allergies, but it’s comforting to know about these things.

My 90-ish year old grandma swears by zinc and has told me to take zinc before and I tried to take tablets but I hate swallowing pills so when I noticed that these gummies have zinc in them too, it was such a bonus.

Other Black Elderberry Products

Sambucol also makes a black elderberry syrup that you could mix into your coffee or a smoothie. I tried the drink powder which might be good to take on a hike-it tastes a little like a juice we used to drink at summer camp and it would be really refreshing cold. But my favorite product is the gummies because I love gummy candies. One 30-count bottle of Sambucol Black Elderberry Gummies typically retails for $12.99 and a 60-count bottle is usually $24.99 and you can get them directly from Sambucol or you can find them at places like Walmart, Target, and Safeway. Getting outdoors for exercise in the fall in the Pacific Northwest

In the fall and winter my family also likes to get outdoors as much as possible for exercise-we most recently tried a hike where we went rockhounding for crystals and geodes and we like traveling to dog-friendly places like Seabrook where we can hang out on the beach. We run, we bike and we are really into rollerblading lately. Because of our new pup Scout, we go on a lot of walks too. I feel like getting outdoors helps my whole body feel better and it helps bring more mindfulness into our lives. I hope that as our schedule becomes more full again, we also make sure to leave unscheduled time for exercising and for getting outdoors.

hiking with our pup is good exercise in the fall

How do you boost your immune system as school starts up again? Have you ever tried black elderberry gummies? And have you ever seen an elderberry growing in real life-one day I really want to do that too.

(PS. I stated above, this is a sponsored post and as always the ideas on this blog are my own.)
