I received TruSkin Vitamin C Serum and TruSkin Daily Facial Moisturizer for free from Moms Meet (momsmeet.com) to use and post my honest opinions. Compensation for this post was provided and this page may contain affiliate links.

Well we’re still at home in the New Year in Seattle and there is very little to suggest this is going to change anytime soon. So now life at home is becoming more and more of a good excuse to work on exercising and taking care of my skin. It’s the least I can do right now-I haven’t had a haircut in nearly a year and I feel like I’m always in some kind of athleisure wear. Instead of putting on makeup to go out, I’ve been trying all the different skin care products at home. For the past week I’ve been trying TruSkin Vitamin C Serum and Truskin Daily Facial Moisturizer and I’ll share my findings with you.

TruSkin Vitamin C Serum for anti-aging

I am now in my 40’s and so I’m always looking for products to help with signs of aging. And I am very thankful that my mom has great skin so I hope I have her good skin genes. I have a few little wrinkles that really bug me even though I’ve been told I’ve earned these lines. Active Vitamin C is supposed to target dark spots, fine lines and help with the overall tone of skin so this is what I was looking for when I tried the TruSkin Vitamin C Serum.

The nice thing about this TruSkin Vitamin C Serum is that is vegan and, cruelty free and made without fillers and parabins. I like to know that products I use are made with these things in mind-I’m always scared I’m putting stuff into my face and body that’s not good for me. It also seems reasonably priced for Vitamin C Serum compared to other similar products: TruSkin Vitamin C Serum typically retails for $19.99 (1 fl oz) which is the bottle I’m currently using.

Is it easy to use?

The serum comes in an easy to use bottle with a dropper and you use about 3-5 little drops day or night or both depending on what it feels like your skin needs. I tried a patch test first and noticed the serum is a little cloudy. But apparently the cloudiness comes from its natural preservative and its unique form of Vitamin C so this is totally normal. I read that it also contains organic aloe vera to help soothe skin and that’s one of my favorite plants. I used the product at night after I washed my face and followed it up with moisturizer.

How about if you have oily skin?

One of the first things I noticed is that this face serum doesn’t have a strong scent-it barely smells like anything at all. And I really appreciate when products don’t have a strong fragrance. This serum also isn’t greasy and I like the way it feels on my skin. I have skin that is more on the oily side so I worry sometimes that serums will make me break out but that didn’t happen. And after a week it feels like my skin is a little brighter too. I used the TruSkin Daily Facial Moisturizer and that was also non-greasy and light and I liked the way it absorbed into my skin as well.

And a TruSkin packaging update

For 2021 TruSkin is welcoming the new year with a new look! In the next few months the brand is introducing a new logo, packaging, and new products too. But even thought the outside is changing the inside will still be the same clean formulas that have been around for years.

Truskin Vitamin C Serum and TruSkin Moisturizer are made in the USA and you can purchase them from truskin.com. I have a discount for TruSkin products for 10% off using the code MOM10.

Are you looking for skincare products that help with fine lines and brightening skin tone too? If you have tried this product too, I’d love to hear what you think.

(PS. I have reviewed other products from Moms Meet including Goodles Mac and Cheese, Lindsay Olives, and Zafooz. For skincare I’ve also tried out Kiehls too.)
