If you follow along on my instagram, we tend to visit the beach at Expedia group with Scout quite frequently. It used to be where we parked to go biking with the kids when they were small. It’s near where the cruise ships dock and it’s also where you’ll find the closest lupine patches growing near the city. With Scout we often just walk from the parking lot and back but if you are ambitious you could walk as far as the Olympic Sculpture Park and beyond.
Where to Park for the beach at Expedia Group
There are designated free parking spots within the Expedia Group P1 Parking Garage. The easiest way to find this is to put this address into your Google Maps: 1201 Alaskan Way W Seattle, WA. When you get to the parking structure make sure you read which spots you can park in for free. We’ve only had these fill up on us once and there are usually open spots in the morning and in the evening.
If by chance this lot is full, you can access this park from the Helix Pedestrian bridge on Elliott Street too. You can put in the address for Fuji Bakery in your Google Maps: 1030 Elliott Ave W, Seattle WA and there is usually street parking unless you come during the few blocked hours that they have during the day-don’t come during the morning or evening commute.
Also if you’re parked near Fuji Bakery you might as well visit there too. We have tried almost everything on the menu. And the kids often ask me to order their strawberry shortcake for celebrations-it’s one of our favorite cakes in Seattle.
Places to eat near the Beach at Expedia Group
This park has places to sit and it’s pretty close to the parking structure so this is an easy place for eating outside in Seattle if you want to bring a picnic. We have taken out from Queen Anne Beerhall (they have great pretzels) and Plaza Garibaldi. Sisters and Brothers, Dantini Pizza and Taco Time are nearby too. Maggie Bluffs isn’t so much for takeout but a good place to eat outdoors on a patio and not too far away either.
Have you been to this park before? We go here in all seasons and it’s a lovely, scenic spot to take in some beautfiul Seattle views.
