Things to Do in Seattle in February 2025

kooza and other things to do in Seattle in February 2025
Spread the love

Did we just survive the longest month ever (I wrote this last year and it still holds) and are we going to blink and have February disappear too? It still feels like we might get one more weather system before all the cherry blossoms start to pop but you might want to start keeping an eye on the UW cherry blossom forecast here. And just in case you have time in Seattle in February there are a few things happening this month that you might want to check out if you’re in the city.

Cherry blossoms at UW in Seattle

Northwest Flower and Garden Festival Feb 19-23rd 2025

If you love gardens and live in the Pacific Northwest this one is especially spectacular- the Northwest Flower and Garden Festival such an epic festival and it’s always hard to believe all the displays are put up in 72 hours time. This is is a bit of how it looked in 2024. If you’re looking for tickets make sure you’re following the garden show’s instagram and I have a giveaway for tickets going on too!

New Restaurants and Shops at SEA

If you’re traveling through SEA (Seatac airport to many of us but they are now SEA) there are new shops and restaurants in the N Concourse like Lil Woody’s and PF Changs. You can read more about this here.

Skiing and Snow-playing in Snoqualmie Pass

If you’re up in Snoqualmie Pass or hoping to get there please wish for snow as hard as you can. Thankfully if you are up there you can find a lot more options for food and activities than there ever used to be. You can check out the Commonwealth and The Pass Life Workspace is a brilliant idea if you need a space to hang out for the day in the area if you have kids that have ski lessons.

Hamilton at Paramount Theatre until March 2, 2025

Hamilton is back at the Paramount Theatre and I went for media night and thought it was a fantastic casting and show. Also, there are Rush tickets for this show and you can find out more about Rush tickets in this post. Also Broadway in Seattle announced their 2025/2026 season if you want to look forward to what musicals you can see in Seattle next year.

The Last Five Years at ACT theatre Seattle until March 18, 2025

I love the ACT theatre and its creative use of staging so it’s worth a visit just to be immersed in theatre this way. The Last Five years runs through March 18, 2025.

Kooza Under the Big Top in Redmond until March 16, 2025

We’ve seen Kooza twice now, once years ago in Australia and now in Redmond and the show is fantastic. Here is a bit of a behind the scenes look I got a few weeks ago. And if you’re in search of discount Kooza tickets I’ve noticed a few deals by following along on their instagram and also I’ve seen tickets at our local Costco too.

Museum of Illusions Feb 14-16

If you haven’t been to Museum of Illusions (or even if you have), this might be a fun Valentine’s Day idea. From February 14–16, there will be special Valentines Day activities including an origami Station to create heart-shaped designs, and a message board to share notes and free chocolate for those who share about their experience on social media.

Astra Lumina in Seattle until March 2nd

Astra Lumina is also a really cool light experience happening in Seattle right now too. It’s at the Seattle Chinese Garden through March 2 and especially if you’re free on a clear night this might be a good excuse to get a walk and see something extraordinary.

South Lake Union: Feb 14 11 am – 2pm and follow their instagram for other dates

There always seems to be something going on in South Lake Union and I really don’t visit there enough. I just saw an update on the South Lake Union website that on February 14th there is a popup to make handmade mini bouquets from 11am-2pm.

Edison Chicken Parade: last Sunday of the Month of February at Noon

If you happen to be in Edison on the last Sunday in the month of February you might get to find out what the Chicken Parade is all about-this is a yearly tradition and it sounds very unique. I’m so curious so please let me know if you do too. I can’t find out if it’s happening in 2025 but I’ll keep an eye out.

Do you have any things to do in Seattle in February ideas I might be missing?

Make sure you message me or comment below. Also I’ll continue to update this list throughout all of February because who is ever ready for the first day of the month? And if you are looking for next month, here are some things to do in Seattle in March.

(PS February is a popular time for families to visit the Hawaiian islands from Seattle because of mid-winter break: here is a post about planning a February trip to Kauai from seattle with kids) and now Alaska Air has a flight from Seattle to Bahamas too.)

(PPS. if you are not traveling with kids, February might not be the best time to plan a Hawaii trip from Seattle. This year we went to Vancouver for a few nights for the President’s Day weekend and really enjoyed our stay at the Sylvia hotel.
