Things to do in Seattle in March

Spread the love

March in Seattle feels like it’s when our city starts to collectively wake up from our winter nap. We get friendlier. The blossoms are out. I’m seeing all the where to find blossoms in Seattle post and it’s not that hard to find them. Just walk around any neighborhood or wake up earlier than you want to in the morning so you can get a parking spot at UW. And we have high school soccer again (one of my guys plays for the Ballard High School team).

SO what to do in Seattle in March?

Women Supporting Women at Uvillage March 6, 2026

This is the 4th annual celebration of Women supporting Women at Uvillage for International Women’s Day. There will be women led pop-ups, giveaways and discounts throughout the event. You can find more information here.

March is Member month at the Seattle Aquarium

We’ve been members for years and it makes an easy stop when we’re walking the Overlook, or hanging out on Seattle’s Waterfront. The other day we saw the most adorable sleepiest seal during member hour where on March weekends this year the aquarium opens at 9am for members which is such a special thing to almost have the aquarium to ourselves.

The Notebook the Musical at Paramount Theatre March 2-March 8th 2026

I went for media night and it was so beautifully done. You can find my review of the Notebook the Musical in Seattle here. It’s in Seattle through March 8, 2026.

Irish Festival at Seattle Center March 14 and 15th 2026

We went to Ireland for 5 days during Thanksgiving a few years ago and completely fell in love so the Irish Festival at Seattle Center is on our radar too. Dublin is also one of many places you can get to with a direct flight from Seattle.

Cirque du Soleil Echo under the Big Top in Redmond through March 22nd

Cirque du Soleil Echo is here and it’s fantastic. You can find more information in my review of Cirque du Soleil Echo including food options at the venue and deals for kids.

Udistrict Cherry Blossom festival: March 13-29 2026

As the cherry blossoms hit peak bloom the Udistrict Cherry Blossom festival has many cool offerings in the area, especially cherry blossom themed food and drink. Here is a listing of all the District Cherry Blossom festival events/offerings from March 13-29, 2026. Some intriguing bites include the sakura cream puff at Sizzle and Crunch, the Croissant taiyaki with house made sakura ice cream at Oh! Bear Cafe and Teahouse, the cherry blossom latte at Off the Rez and the cherry cafe at the Udistict Leon Coffeeshouse location (I am curious to see the coffee art on this one-they usually do amazing art!)

Keep an eye on the UW blog for news about the cherry blossoms: last year they started about a week before the April 1st blog came out but this year it looks like we’re almost there. Bakery Nouveau has a sakura cake on its menu and I’ll definitely be looking out for more cherry blossom themed foods around the city this year.

Inspired by Iceland: Taste of Iceland March 19-21 2026

Taste of Iceland is back in the city again. There are lots of free events to sign up for as well as a few that have a fee. You can find out more about Inspired by Iceland: Taste of Iceland offerings in Seattle here.

Macaron Day in Seattle March 20

Not Macaroon Day but Macaron Day at Le Panier in Pike Place Market It happens every year and it looks like it’s happening in 2026 too and that’s reason enough to celebrate and join in.

Also Project Hail Mary opens in theaters on March 20th. My teens read the book and are really excited for this movie. You can find a bit about the making of Project Hail Mary here.

Mariners Opening Day March 26th! Can you believe it’s baseball season again?

You can find out more about this year’s Mariners schedule here. Last year, my favorite thing at the stadium was their ice cream nachos. This year there is excitement about a ferry boat you can order your food in and it reminds me of the White Spot Pirate Pack we grew up with in Vancouver BC. Also, it’s Hello Kitty night at the Mariners on March 30th and I’m so excited for that game!

Cherry Blossoms in the City

If you have any tips or events that you think I should include for March or beyond please let me know. I ry to curate a few events that I know I’ll be attending or that I wish I could go to-we all only have so much time.

And if you are looking for things to do next month, you can check out my Things to do in April in Seattle here too. We recently went to Vancouver BC and stayed at the Syliva Hotel. It’s a great family-friendly place in the city.
