Hamilton is back in Seattle until March 4th and this Broadway in Seattle musical is always a favorite in our city. This musical at the Paramount Theatre in downtown Seattle runs 2 hours and 45 minutes including one intermission. It is recommended for kids 10 and up. My guys first saw it when they were 13 and it was their favorite musical until they saw Back to the Future and now these two are tied. The music by Lin-Manuel Miranda is incredibly catchy and worth listening to before you go to the show if you haven’t heard it before. (PS. I was invited to their media night in Seattle yesterday and this cast is phenomenal. They feel so comfortable in their characters and I think this was the best performance I’ve ever seen of this musical.)

What time should you arrive for Hamilton in Seattle
Everything I’ve seen on Broadway in Seattle’s social feeds suggests an hour before the time on your ticket is a good time to get to the show. We used to show up 15 minutes before but there are too many people who try to show up then and the musical will start even if you’re still in line. So with time to spare, the inside of the Paramount Theatre is gorgeous and worth exploring a bit before the show and also making time to use the bathroom right when you get there (and avoiding the long lines at the bathrooms during intermissions) might save you from missing the start of the second half too.
Are there discount tickets for Hamilton in Seattle this winter?
If you love musicals in Seattle it’s good to follow the Stgpresents instagram as well as Broadway Seattle because this is where they post show information and deals. I saw in the Broadway in Seattle stories that there are Rush tickets available through this show run: you can get them 1 hour before showtime at the Paramount box office and they are $49 tickets/cash or card and two max per person based on availability and not guaranteed.
Where to eat nearby the Paramount Theatre
If your plan is to get dinner before the show, make sure you have a reservation or give yourself a lot of time. We have tried to eat at Dough Zone nearby but it’s usually too lined up by the time we get there. We often park on the street or lately we’ve been parking at Pacific Place where there is parking on weekdays after 5pm is $8 when I last checked in February 2025. Pacific Place has Din Tai Fung and Pike Place Chowder. Asean Streat is across the street at Westlake Center and not too far of a walk either. I love Xian noodles at Westlake center too but sometimes we’ve waited a really long time. Nana’s Green Tea is a 5 minute walk away and Tutta Bella at the Red Building is about a ten minute walk from the theatre as well.
Broadway in Seattle is about midway through their 2024/2025 season and just announced their list of musicals coming to Seattle for 2025/2026 too.
