Broadway in Seattle 2025/2026 season musical list (and who else is so excited about the Notebook?)

Spread the love

I still remember when the Notebook was the opening night movie for SIFF at a fancy theatre downtown and I had no idea I would cry my eyes out and neither did the group of mascara stained ladies I met in the bathroom at intermission either. So I practically squealed when I saw that the Notebook Musical is part of the Broadway in Seattle 2025/2026 season at the Paramount Theatre. We’re still early into 2025 and there are definitely musicals left to see in the 2025 season (like Hamilton (playing now until March 2nd) Mama Mia and Life of Pi which I loved as a book and can’t even imagine what it’s going to be like as a musical and you can find the rest in my 2024/2025 season list.

And here is the 2025/2026 Broadway in Seattle at The Paramount Season schedule as well as the special performances- I’ll update each musical closer to their opening dates.

SOME LIKE IT HOT (September 16 – 21, 2025)

I have no idea what this one is about other than it’s won a bunch of Tony’s and it’s set in Chicago. Some Like it Hot premiered on Broadway in 2022 and its based on a beloved comedy film so it’s a relatively new musical but with a story people might know and from what I know it’s recommended for ages 12 and up. (After watching it, Some Like it Hot had a really intriguing storyline, fabulous set design and choreography but I wish the songs were catchier)

STEREOPHONIC October 7 – 12, 2025

This is also a musical I’ve never heard of. Here is my review of Stereophonic if you want to get an idea of what it is about. It is not really a musical but a play about music and it is long.

Chicago the Musical on Tour October 22-November 2nd

I’m not sure if this is part of Broadway in Seattle’s line up, it’s at the Fifth Avenue Theatre not the Paramount Theatre but it’s the longest running Broadway show and it’s fantastic-you can read my review here as well as find discounts on tickets for some shows.

SHUCKED November 4 – 9, 2025

Shucked was another new to me musical and I went to it on November 4th and yes it was full of corny one liners just like I expected-here is my review. You can read more about Shucked on its website too.

DISNEY’S THE LION KING (Season Option) * December 4, 2025 – January 4, 2026

The Lion King was the first musical we took the boys to and I remember that all of us absolutely loved it. Everything from the costumes to the acting and music was spectacular so I’m really excited for this one to come back to our city. This musical is a season option so the only way to get advanced tickets is to purchase season’s tickets and add the option. Also, this reminds me I haven’t seen the new Mufasa movie yet, have you? I’m glad the Lion King is in the Broadway in Seattle 2025/2026 season. I have a coupon in this post for a discount code for Lion King the Musical in Seattle.

A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL January 13 – 18, 2026

This one was playing in New York when we visited and it was one I wanted to see (and I just saw this for media night and it was one you don’t want to miss). Don’t you just love Neil Diamond’s music? If you love learning about musicians lives, my husband and I really liked the Ain’t too Proud musical based on the lives of the Temptations that we saw a few years ago and also Funny Girl based on the life of Fanny Brice that we saw as part of the 2024/2025 season. Also, there are a bunch of movies based on musicians’ lives coming out in 2025 too.

THE WIZ February 10 – 15, 2026

I went to the media night for the Wiz in Seattle on Feb 11th and I have seen the musical once before but not in a really long time. I know the Wiz is an iconic musical from 1975 and it still feels like an older style musical format but it has an updated set-there are some truly spectacular backdrops. Kyla Jade as Evillene, Elijah Ahmad Lewis as Scarecrow and D. Jerome as Tinman really draw the audience in. The costumes are also stunning and a storm scene in the beginning of the show and one with poppies both really stood out for me.

THE NOTEBOOK March 3 – 8, 2026

I just watched this the other night. And yes, you and I and everyone will remind each other to bring tissues and extras for our neighbors. TheNotebook the Musical in Seattle was incredibly well done. This is one of my favorite musicals so far from the 2025/2026 broadway in seattle Season.

LES MISÉRABLES (Season Option) * April 7 – 19, 2026

Can you hear the people sing? I am so glad to see Les Mis on this season’s list and we had a fantastic time at their media night on opening night. The music is so powerful and my guys have never seen it. Like the Lion King, this musical is a Season Option so you can only purchase advance tickets if you have season’s tickets.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (Season Option) *May 13 – 24, 2026

This is another season option and I think this might have been my first ever musical too. Have you seen the Phantom of the Opera? This musical is also a Season Option for the Broadway in Seattle 2025/2026 season and you can only purchase advance tickets if you have season’s tickets.

HELL’S KITCHEN July 21 – 26, 2026

I hadn’t heard about Hell’s Kitchen and had to search it and when I read “it’s the hit musical from Alicia Keyes” I could tell it’s one I want to see. I’ll let you know more as soon as I see it! I can’t believe this one is still over a year away!

kids at the Paramount Theatre for Broadway in Seattle

Will I see you during the Broadway in Seattle 2025/2026 season? Which of these musicals are you most excited about this year? (PS. all the photos I included are from my kids’ first Broadway musical experience at the Paramount in 2018 when we went to see Lion King) Also, after seeing my guys in their little suits, do you dress up for the theatre in Seattle or come as you are?
