I’m not sure why it feels like it’s been 20+ years since I’ve watched Les Mis (like I don’t think I even watched the movie and now I need to too!), so having Les Miserables in Seattle until April 19th is a bit of a dream. I think Les Miserables is one of the most epic musicals ever made (please feel free to prove me otherwise).

My family and I went to the media night performance earlier this week and it was just as phenomenal as I hoped. And I was so excited to watch this with my teenagers for the very first time. (This musical is recommended for ages 10+) Are there any musicals with as many memorable made for the musical songs as Les Miserables? (Maybe only a few: Hamilton, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera?) Someone sitting next to one of my sons also mentioned to him that this is one of the most incredible musicals he will ever see.
If you are looking for a way to go to the show for a deal, there are opportunities for discount Rush Tickets for Les Miserables in Seattle at the Paramount Theatre box office an hour before the show-the easiest way to stay informed is to follow the STG presents instagram (Rush tickets have limited quantities and are first come first serve and often only 2 per ID’d purchaser)
And also you’ll want to arrive early anyways for Les Miserables in Seattle
Going to the theatre in Seattle is not like going to a concert, the time on your ticket is the time the show starts so you want to make sure you arrive with enough time to be in your seats. Being in line to get into the theatre by the time on your ticket does not mean the show will wait for you to sit down. Les Miserables is especially prompt and the day we went they started exactly on time. The Door Hold for late arrivals is about 14 minutes into the show but there are screens outside so you can still watch the performance. When we have a lot of time before we need to get to a show we like to eat an early meal at the Carlile Room across the street and make a full evening out of going to the theatre. We were in a rush the other night after soccer and ended up at Deez dogs for the first time and they are delicious and friendly as well.
I read on STG presents instagram that they recommended getting to Les Miserables an hour before showtime.
I would also recommend going to the bathroom before the show because we also heard there were long bathroom lines during the show and the second act starts also starts without delay. Les Miserables takes about 2 hours and 55 minutes including an intermission.
After Seattle, Les Miserables continues on to Boise Idaho and then to San Jose California, and before it came to Seattle, it was in Vancouver BC and Portland, Oregon.
(PS. as someone who goes to musicals often for review, Les Miserables is an anomaly to me in that while I enjoy the first part of this show, my favorite is the 2nd half. I’ve noticed that with most musicals I go to I usually love the first half. Les Miserables is such a witty, well-written, entertaining and heartbreakingly beautiful story and the songs will stay in my head until I see it again, even if it’s not for another 20 years.)
PPS. if you are looking for more Broadway in Seattle shows, there are still a few left in the 2025/2026 season and you can find the upcoming 2026/2027 season here as well.
