The first time I saw Six the Musical I didn’t give it a fair chance. It was on the same night Taylor Swift was in the city and I did not have tickets to Taylor Swift. And nothing else should be playing in any city on a night Taylor Swift is in town. Fast forward to 2025 and Six the Musical was in Seattle for such a short time and I was invited as media and was worried I would have the same experience as last time. But this time I was in the right frame of mind. I wikipedia’d its origin story before I showed up to my seat. I let the music wash over me and I couldn’t get it out of my head for weeks. Six the Musical is spectacular and fun, the lyrics are catchy, witty and empowering and it’s a musical you need to see if you ever get the chance. It feels like it’s the type of musical that is built on truth and second chances and that dreams come true in the end.
This musical was part of Broadway in Seattle’s 2024/2025 season and there are still a couple musicals left to see before the season ends. You can learn more about Broadway in Seattle’s upcoming 2025/2026 season here too.
