Farmstand Fresh Coupon for summer 2025 in the Skagit Valley
Spread the love

This is a sponsored post on behalf of the Farmstand Fresh coupon with Genuine Skagit Valley and as always the ideas in this post are my own.

Every summer I look forward to when the farmstands open up in the Skagit Valley (there is so much more to Skagit Valley than just the tulips). We are so lucky to be able to get so much locally grown produce only a short drive from Seattle. I think it’s something many of us take for granted-not all big cities have amazing growing regions so close to home.

The Farmstand Fresh program in our Skagit Valley helps connect guests to growers and teaches all of us about the people who grow our food as well as about the Skagit Valley where a lot of food is grown. This summer in Washington there is a Farmstand Fresh Coupon that can be used at multiple farm stands in Washington’s Skagit Valley for $5 off a $20 purchase and families can save up to $200 through July and August (once per farmstand per month). You can learn more about the program here

Farmstand Fresh stops near Mount Vernon

About an hour and a bit from Seattle you can get to Mount Vernon and there are quite a few farmstands nearby, but I focused on four that were within about a ten minute drive from each other as well as the historic downtown area of Mount Vernon. You can find these stops in a video I created on instagram. If it is hot, I would pack a cooler with ice packs to bring produce and foods home with me. I also make sure to bring cash when I visit farmstands. There are often honor system cash based stands in these areas that sell maybe one item only like eggs or zucchini and I’ve been disappointed in the past when I’ve not been able to buy something because I don’t have cash with me.

Here are four great farmstands near Mount Vernon you can visit with the Farmstand Fresh program:

Santucci Farms has a new farmstand with locally made goods as well as local produce. They had some really cute sweatshirts in their farmstand as well as produce and locally sourced goods. I accidentally went to their event center first so if you make the same mistake, keep going a little farther down the main road and you’ll see the stand. I’m not sure all the opening times of this farmstand so make sure you check before you go.

Verduras Organicas Mexicanas was open 9am-9pm daily when I checked and I think it might be a cash only place. You can find more about it here. I did not have much cash on me when I went so couldn’t buy a lot but the beans I brought home were perfect. They also had squash blossoms and one of the owners showed me what she makes with them on her phone.

Blackburn Gardens is not too far away and had pre-cut flower arrangements and seeds at their farmstand. They also have a website where you can pre-book times to cut flowers and order bouquet buckets for events.

Waxwing Farmstand was not open the day I visited but it’s in this area and I’ve been there before and loved it too so really needs to be on this list as well just in case you’re there on a day it’s open I don’t want you to miss out. In July and August you can also use the Farmstand Fresh Coupon at this stand for $5 or $20 (once a month per user per stand)

For coffee, shopping and lunch nearby, Mount Vernon is an easy place to stop

I have been following along Skagit Table’s instagram feed for a while and wanted to check out their shop. They prepare ready made meals you can purchase for home and you can also ask them to heat up meals from their fridge if you want to eat them in their cafe. I asked them about the ingredients they use and was told they try to use as much locally sourced ingredients as possible. I bought a frozen vegetarian stew and homemade granola. I’ll let you know what I think after I try them.

I walked by Dorothea Coffee and Ristretto and both looked like great coffee shops. Calico Cupboard Cafe is also very popular and it’s been around since I was little. I’ve never stopped at the Skagit Valley Coop and probably should, it is very busy. White Branches tea shop also showed up on my maps and I’m curious about their afternoon tea.

My family insists on stopping at Whidbey Island Bagels (Mount Vernon location) when we’re in the area. If there are rosemary chive bagels, we can’t leave without them.

I did my farm stops before 11am so many shops in Mount Vernon were still closed but LIDO collective was open and it represents many makers in the area-there are many beautiful things in this shop. I want to visit KLT Works next time we pass through Mount Vernon (it’s been on my list for a while too and it was sad to miss). I also drove by Pure Skin Wellness spa and had to look it up because their building looked intriguing-they have a Himalayan salt vault in their wellness lounge that I want to try one of these days. Have you ever been here?

Maybe next farm stand tour this summer will be a farm and spa day too?
