There are many things that have grown in our city over the years and one of them is our love of cherry blossoms. Seattleites are all in for Cherry blossom season and I am starting to see all the “where to see cherry blossoms in Seattle posts” all over my instagram feed. The most popular cherry blossom viewing spot in our city, the UW Quad, will even be lit up in pink light for the very first time on March 21st from 6-10 pm. So it’s not surprising that cherry blossom treats are popping up more and more around Seattle during this season too.
Here are a few standout Seattle cherry blossom treats:
Cherry Blossom cupcakes and soft serve at Trophy Cupcakes Uvillage
We’ll be trying Trophy Cupcakes cherry blossom treats later this weekend-they have cherry blossom cupcakes with actual freeze dried cherry blossoms in the icing until April 15th. And Trophy Cupcakes Uvillage location also has Sakura ice cream too!
Oh! Bear cafe and Teahouse Sakura Croissant Taiyaki
I saw the Udistrict cherry blossom festival offerings and the Croissant taiyaki with house made sakura ice cream at Oh! Bear Cafe and Teahouse sounds incredible. We have a high school soccer game at Roosevelt in the next little while so I’ll definitely try to time our arrival so we can make a stop here too.
Sakura everything at Nana’s Green Tea
Because Nana’s Green Tea is close to the Paramount we often stop here on the way to a show. I saw that their Sakura started on March 18th this year until supplies last. You can see some of them on the Nana’s Green Tea Instagram and I knew they had sakura parfaits and sakura lattes but I did not know they also have croissants. This is probably the most extensive sakura menu I’ve seen in Seattle.
Bakery Nouveau Sakura Cake
Bakery Nouveau’s Sakura cake is one of the most established Sakura treats in the city. I know it’s been on the menu for a very long time. I need to make sure I stop by this season to finally try it. You can order ahead if you want to make sure you get a slice or a whole cake.
Frost Desserts: Cherry blossom donut
This one is cherry flavored not sakura flavored and I spotted the Frost Dessert cherry blossom donut in my instagram feed and it’s cute. I’m not sure how long this will be on the menu.
And if you are willing to drive farther for your Sakura treats…
North of Seattle in Vancouver BC, they have a ton of sakura options there too. Noms Magazine lists all the Cherry Blossom food options for the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival that goes through May 3, 2026. Broye Bakery has a waffle bloom that’s picture perfect. The bunny cafe (this place is also so cool for an easter adventure with kids) has a bunny berry matcha. Egg Bombe has cherry marscapone snow. And I need to say Dango Cake Lab’s sakura nest in real life.
Are you also looking for cherry blossom treats in the Pacific Northwest? Have you found a favorite yet?
(Also, I just found out that Kobe Terrace in the Chinatown International District has a 200 year old stone lantern as well as cherry trees gifted from Japan. Have you been here to see the cherry blossoms bloom? Does it get very busy? If you know you can also message me on my instagram.)
