My family and I recently stopped by the shopping center to help showcase some of the stores and help you imagine what you might buy on your shopping trip.
Do you love winter adventures? Maybe people on your gift list do too.
We stopped by Dick’s Sporting Goods at Grand Ridge Plaza where there is a great selection of winter accessories and we picked up ice skates for the boys for an upcoming winter adventure. We found a fantastic deal on fuzzy flannel Kraken pajamas and spent a bit of time looking at all the cool Seattle Kraken themed things in the store as well. There are lots of sleds and warm winter clothing items-I picked up a really cute Roxy brand hat that I think will be my favorite this winter and we found a boot warmer/dryer too which you totally might want to gift yourself if you (or your kids) spend a lot of time in the snow outdoors.
And what about moisturizer and bubble bath to protect and soothe your body after a day outdoors?
There is an Ulta Beauty at Grand Ridge Plaza and things I would pick up for winter adventures here are moisturizer, lip chap, and bubble bath too. I found some Tony Moly Magic Foot Peeling shoes that I’m both excited and scared to try-I think these would make fun gifts for the spa lovers in my life. And I love feet masks for anytime I’ve done a lot of running around outdoors-it feels so luxurious to just put your feet in a mask, grab a book and coffee and sit absolutely still for 20 minutes (or more). We also picked up a new facial moisturizer and Burts Bees lip chap to put on before we go on our next sledding or ski adventure- the cold air tends to dry out my whole family’s skin.
And a place for lunch or dinner pre or post shop?
If it’s near lunch or dinner time we can’t leave Grand Ridge Plaza without picking up take out from Chinoise Cafe. We’ve been visiting this restaurant for nearly 20 years (we started going when it used to be on the Ave in Queen Anne in Seattle.) Our two favorite dishes here are the Buddhist Tofu Stirfry and the Shanghai Noodles and this is a very popular spot so sometimes we put in our order really early or plan on shopping a little longer while we wait.
