I blinked and July is over, isn’t that how it always is? So here are a few things that have caught my eye for August in Seattle. This is not an extensive list of all the things to do in Seattle in this month, it’s just things that interest me and my family and maybe you too.

Things to do in Seattle in August
The Wiz Teen Summer Musical at Benaroya Hall August 22-24
I think we caught a bit of a performance from the cast of this musical in the Torchlight Parade and they had such great energy. You can catch the whole musical on August 22-24 at Benaroya Hall.
Retro Movie Night with Backpack Brigade at Lincoln Square: August 23, 2025
The movie is Grease and a $20 donation to Backpack Brigade secures your seat. There is even a themed costume competition before the movie and you can find more details on how to participate here.
Bark at the Park with the Mariners on August 25th
In August there is a Bark at the Park game on August 25th where pups can come along-you need special tickets and you need to sign a waiver first and there are other rules so make sure you read all the details and you can find all the info in the link on the MLB Mariners site. (The next one is in September)
August is also perfect for a Skagit Valley Farm stand tour
Summer is so good for visiting farmstands and I recently visited a few in Mount Vernon. This year Genuine Skagit Valley has a coupon that you can redeem once each month in the months of July and August at their participating Farmstand Fresh stands. You can read more about the Farmstand Fresh program here as well as more about the coupon too.
Have you registered for a free Port U Seattle class yet?
Port of Seattle has free classes to learn about things happening at our bustling port. Many of these are probably waitlisted but get on the list just in case. I’ll make sure to post in my socials ASAP when I see the next classes post but getting on the waitlist might help ensure there are more.
Feel free to message if I’m missing some ‘can’t miss’ things to do in August in Seattle on this list and if you are looking ahead to September here are things to do in that month too. Also, here is where you might find ideas of what to do in Seattle today if you need more things to do too.
