Summer events at Seattle’s Waterfront Park that we’re looking forward to this year

Seattle's Waterfront Park and the great wheel
Spread the love

If you follow along with my instagram you know that Seattle’s Waterfront is one place in Seattle we’re frequenting a lot lately. We commute through the area at least twice a day and any time he can get a chance to go, Scout makes me stop and walk the Overlook Walk down to the Waterfront. We’re also looking forward to summer bike rides now that the bike paths are open except not the part between Expedia Park and the Sculpture Park (why does construction take so long?!) And Seattle Waterfront recently posted their free summer events which are going to be really awesome for our city. If you haven’t tried it yet, the waterfront shuttle is also back again for 2025 and could help with getting around the area too.

Here are the summer events at Seattle’s Waterfront Park you might want to know about:

For May 31st I’m so tempted to sign up for the Meet me at Waterfront Park 5km. I haven’t run that far in a while but this is a historic run and it might be a good place to start.

And there are over 270 free public events at Seattle’s Waterfront Park this summer:

You can sign up for a free 1.5 mile walking tour with a naturalist.

There are free yoga classes on many Wednesdays in July, August and September.

There is a family friendly tour with a historian on Seattle’s Waterfront too. This seems to happen once a month from now until October and you can sign up here.

Have you ever wanted to try a soundbath? This one happens outdoors on the waterfront too.

Are you traveling to Seattle in the Summer? Are you a local?

These are just a few of the offerings this summer. You can find out more on the Friends of Seattle Waterfront website. Are you excited about summer events at Seattle’s Waterfront Park this year too? (We recently tried their fancy new bathrooms, kind of right in front of the Fisherman’s Restaurant and they’re a great addition to the Waterfront too)

PS. if you are in the waterfront area, I also have a list of places that Seattle locals like to visit in Pike Place Market too. Seattle Art Museum is also nearby. Have you been to the new aquarium yet? Locals it’s time to get a membership there now too!
