Do your kids listen to the podcasts “Wow in the World?” or “Who, When Wow?” by Tinkercast? If you haven’t heard of them yet, Wow in the World is a fantastic innovative podcast based on the latest news in science and tech with hosts Mindy Thomas and Guy Raz and is also the #1 science podcast for kids and their grownups. Who, When, Wow features Carly Q (Carly Ciarrocchi) who travels through time to explore mysterious historical events. You can subscribe to these podcasts and both have new episodes that come out every Monday for free. And both of these podcasts come to life on stage in Seattle on June 21st when Mindy Thomas and Carly Q join together to Make it Wow! and host an interactive game show with two teams of Wowzer contestants (if you know a team of three 9-11 year olds in the area they can even apply to be part of the show)

I wish I got into podcasts when my kids were young because they are screen-free entertainment and podcasts like these ones are fun to listen to. I was intrigued when I was asked to share about the Make It Wow! event at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall on June 21 and even grown-up me was entertained by the Wow in the World: 150th birthday of a Meter: What’s a Meter with you podcast (I also listened to one on Nuclear fusion and I’m actually looking forward to the next episode that comes out) When I see my 10 year old niece and nephews I’ll get them to listen with me too.
I am partnering with Tinkercast to give away a set of 4 tickets to the Make it Wow! in Seattle on June 21. This is at Benaroya Hall downtown and while it is geared for 6-12 year olds, it sounds like it’s going to be an experience that the whole family can enjoy with trivia, challenges, creativity and an interactive gameshow that takes about an hour and a half. You can enter the giveaway for the tickets through my instagram. You can also find tickets to the Seattle Make it Wow event here.
Do you love things like this that make you WOW too? Are you also excited about science and technology and the Make it Wow! show coming to Seattle?
