If you’ve traveled through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you’ll know it’s busier than ever. Seattle has become quite the destination. From cruise ship travel to soccer (FIFA Club World Cup and World Cup 2026) and just regular business and tourism, SEA never really quiets down especially from May to September. During this time, having guaranteed parking is one way to reduce the stress of unpredictably in travel-last year I remember there were at least a few days at the airport in summer when parking at or near the airport was pretty difficult. We often take public transit to the airport or get a ride (my parents are amazing) but also reserved parking at SEA is one way to help make sure you have a guaranteed parking spot.

Here is a coupon code you can use for a discount on reserved parking at SEA through September 30
Use the promo code SEASummer for 10% off Reserved Parking stays through September 30 on the SEA parking website. Exclusion dates are 7/4-5/25 and 8/29-9/1/25 but hopefully this helps you a little with costs for summer travel this year. Reserved parking is about $10 a day more costly than parking in the regular garage. Make sure if you book reserved parking you only park in the reserved parking area in the SEA parking garage.
How does Reserved Parking at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport work?
In order to book reserve parking you need to sign up at least 6 hours prior to needing your parking spot and you need to book the spot for at least 48 hours. You book through this website and pay for the time period and then you get a scannable code you can use to get into the 4th floor reserved parking area where you will be able to pick any spot with a green light. I think you get a one hour grace period if you arrive earlier than your reservation and if you arrive after the end of your reservation time you will have to pay an overstay fee for extra time but you’ll have to check for all the details on the official parking website to make sure.
I received an email about how to use my reserved parking pass code and where exactly to park and what the cancellation fee would be when I booked my reservation. I will try to use reserved parking again and update this post with more details when I travel through SEA next. I was invited by the airport to try out reserved parking on a day I was there for an event and found it fairly straightforward and easy. It was also nice to be able to use my phone to scan in and out of the parking lot and not have to fumble with a ticket or credit card.
Do you often park your car when you travel to the Seattle Tacoma airport? How do you get to the airport when you travel? Would reserved parking help reduce any traveling stress for you and/or your family
