This is a sponsored post for Wysr Quotes, a daily quote app that I adore and as always the thoughts and opinions in this blog are my own.

If you’re been following along with my instagram, you know I am a big fan of Wysr quotes. I downloaded the app to my phone over a year ago now and every day I get a new daily quote just waiting for me when I wake up in the morning. These quotes are tailored by age demographics so the quotes I get are not the same as the ones that would be sent to my 17 year old kids. These quotes are meant to spark meaningful connections and I know I’ve used them often since I’ve downloaded the app.

And you can also gift Wysr Quotes!

There is a “gift a subscription” tab on the Wysr Quotes site and sometimes there are sales where you can even buy a subscription and get a subscription for a friend or loved one for free. A year’s subscription is about the price of a fancy card but lasts a whole year. It might be fun to send a friend a gift subscription to see if you get similar quotes. I think I might consider sending a gift subscription to my parents, especially my dad, because we like to talk about books so sharing quotes that resonate with us might also start some really cool conversations too.  If you don’t already have Wysr Quotes, this app could be a great gift for yourself.  I think we need to treat ourselves more often than we do.

Quotes I was not expecting to get with Wysr Quotes

I am a big fan of quotes and I thought I would see a lot of quotes that I already know when I signed up for WysrQuotes. But I’ve been so surprised because I’ve been getting so many quotes I’ve never ever seen before. And there are so many thought-provoking quotes out there.  And I learn a lot about their authors too.

One quote that I received was “Am I the Past? As a lake forgets the rain” by James Richardson and that one really hit me in the gut about the stage of parenting I’m in.  Will my guys remember all the things we did together or does it become one big blur in their memory?

Another quote I received was really interesting because our family travels so much. It was a quote that talked about “No one realizes how beautiful it is to travel until he comes home and rests his head on his old, familiar pillow” by Lin Yutang. This one reminds me of every time we go on a trip and even though we have a fabulous time, it always feels so good to come home.

And Dorothy Day’s “Food for the body is not enough. There must be food for the soul” reminded me of why I go looking to find things like all the best croissants in the city. Or why we all have things that fuel us more than food itself sometimes too.

I actually think I’ve only been sent a handful of quotes I’ve known before since I’ve been on this app.
