Have you ever been to a Seattle Seawolves Rugby game? If not or even if you’re a big fan, I’m giving away 4 tickets on my helloterumi instagram for the game on May 17th. I was invited to go formy first time a few weeks ago and I was there for their college night and the energy in the stadium was so vibrant and fun.

Do you need to know about rugby to go to a Seattle Seawolves game
If you are in the stands before the game, the Seawolves do a Rugby 101 on the field and post the rules and a bit about the game on the big screen before kickoff. I really appreciated that they told us about the rules, some of the formations that we would see and also how the game was broken down into halves so I knew when to get up and go to the bathroom or get food. You can also read the rules here on the Seawolves website too.

Seattle Seawolves play at Starfire Sports in Tukwila and doors generally open about 90 minutes before kickoff. There are food trucks outside the stadium and you just need to make sure you get a stamp so you can go in and out and bring the food in. You can buy drinks inside the stadium and there is a beer garden too. There is onsite parking at Starfire Stadium for $7 (not operated by the Seawolves) and there might be other sports like soccer going on in fields nearby so make sure to arrive early because it might take a big of time to get parking and then get to the field. According to the Seawolves website there is also free overflow parking at the Seawolves Office nearby at 14900 Interurban Ave Seattle, WA 98168.
Best places to sit at a Seattle Seawolves game?
All the seats seem to have good views. With Seattle weather, the North Stands are covered if you don’t want to have to wear rain gear (except sections 101 and 107) and there are chair-back seating in sections 103, 104, 105.

How about Food onsite for Seawolves games?
When we were there, there were a few different food trucks parked just outside the entrance to the match (including Dick’s, Taste of Samoa , Seattle Samosa , Birrieria Pepe el Toro (which also had vegetarian options) but I’ve heard these may change up every match. Dick’s Drive in is apparently usually a regular and there is also the Watershed FC at the Starfire Sports Complex where you can get pizza by the slice as well as whole pies too.
And can kids go to Seattle Seawolves games?
Yes, you can bring kids. You can even bring strollers (these will be checked during the game) and kids 2 and under do not need tickets. Kids 3 and up will need tickets to the match. The college night game had a “run with the pack” program for kids before the game but I don’t think this is at every match- we saw a whole bunch of kids learning rugby and having a good time with the players. I will post dates for this if I see this come up again.
Even though we didn’t get a win on the game night we attended, the mood stayed fun and we had a great time chatting with our seat mates and taking in all the excitement. And after the game we saw fans lining up to cheer on the players by the pitch and get items signed. I definitely want to go to come back, we are lucky to have such great sport energy like this in our city. Have you ever been to a rugby game?
