Hydropeptide and Armoire two local Seattle wellness companies helping me with my personal wellbeing
Spread the love

Maybe there is hope in sight, but we are still not going anywhere too far from Seattle after nearly a year. Most things I do don’t require me to actually see anybody and the kids and I are pretty much at home all the time while my hubby works at a hospital in the city. I miss my usual beauty rituals and getting dressed up to go to blogging events or meeting a friend for coffee. So I’m thankful I’ve learned about two local Seattle companies, Hydropeptide and Armoire, who are helping me bring a little of my old life into our strange days and ultimately uplifting my personal wellness too while we are at home.

Armoire, a clothing rental company based in Seattle

I was invited to try out Armoire subscription clothing rental a little over a month ago. Armoire is helping me get out of my clothing rut because I get excited about borrowing new things and trying outfits I’d normally be worried about buying and not wearing enough to make them worth it. I am starting to put on real clothes instead of just switching from my day pajamas to my night pajamas and maybe workout clothes somewhere in between. Because I am so tired of cleaning my house and putting away all the things with the kids and dog and being at home all the time I love that I can just wear new to me things as long as I want and then just send them back.

Right now in Seattle, they are even sending many of my items the same day I order them because I live close to downtown. I have a referral code for Armoire TERUMIP for 60% off the first month of a 4 and 7 item capsule and it might be worth a try if you are looking to try some new outfits and get inspired too. I think that feeling good about what I’m wearing helps my personal wellness so much and I’d love to hear what you think too if you try it out. (I just had an online conference and a bunch of zoom meetings where it was so easy to order a week’s worth of outfits through my unlimited plan and then I’ll send them back.)

Hydropeptide, skincare formulated by a geneticist in Issaquah Washington

Hydropeptide is a local skincare company that I was introduced to by another blogging friend Rachel (she also has a really awesome March challenge right now to put more money in your pocket too!). Hydropeptide is locally based in Issaquah and they have some amazing skincare products and they sent me a bunch that I’m slowly savoring and working my way through all the treatments. This company is based on epigenetic science and I think it’s cool that the Chief Geneticist at this company is a twin like my guys too! I feel like the world needs so much more science lately and I like that this company seems to put science first in creating products to help us care for our skin.

My favorite product so far is the Hydrolock Sleep Mask because we are in the mountains a lot this time of year and my skin typically gets really dry feeling. I love that I can put this on my face at the cabin before I go to sleep and my skin feels really rehydrated and soft when I wake up in the morning. I have almost used this product up and it’s always cool when you love a product so much you are actually trying your best to use up every drop.

Hydropeptide Exfoliating Cleanser

I also really like the Hydropeptide Exfoliating Cleanser because it feels really nice on my skin and I love the scent when I wash my face in the morning. It is light and refreshing and a fresh face feels like a great way to start the day. I just have the travel size for the Hydropeptide Exfoliating Cleanser, (it comes in the Travel Wrinkle Rescue Kit) but it feels like it is lasting a pretty long time.

I think it is awesome that these two companies are based in the Seattle area and I’m looking forward to sharing more of their stories as I get to know them better.

(PS. If you can’t see my Armoire outfit under all my hair in the Feature photo, that’s because I haven’t had a haircut in an entire YEAR!! So adding that to my personal wellness endeavors in the next month too. Did you get your haircut in the last year too or have you been waiting like me?)
