Everything you need to know about Seattle Soccer House

Seattle Soccer House (Pacific Place Mall) for World Cup in our city
Spread the love

World Cup has almost arrived in Seattle (World Cup is from June 11-July 19th and Seattle will host 6 live matches within that time frame as well as having watch parties around the city for the games in other host cities) and for the next little while the mall we know as Pacific Place will also be known as Seattle Soccer House. With the largest screen for viewing World Cup matches in Seattle, the 40 by 70 foot four level viewing experience is going to be one of the most unique places to take in the excitement. Little by little information is trickling into my mailbox about all the World Cup happenings and I’ll post what I find out here as soon as I can (and as always it’s important to check official sites like Seattle’s World Cup website and Pacific Place Mall and Gossip and Glamour will usually have the inside scoop too.)

So what can we expect from Seattle Soccer House

The 2nd floor of Pacific Place is where most of the soccer action will take place but also you can pop by the stores in the mall while you are there too. My friend Liyin owns Proto101 where you can find the comfiest stylish athleisure fits (And I especially love some of the collaborations she’s done with local artists including a Seattle Skyline sweatshirt and a few with Seattle Sounder goalkeeper/ artist Stefan Frei) Simply Seattle opened a new store in the mall too as well and Chalo& Co also recently opened and they have great Seattle souvenirs. There will be an official FIFA World Cup store on the first floor of Seattle Soccer House. And I have an affiliate shop with Fanatics for USA World Cup merchandise too.

Are there things to do for families at Seattle Soccer House?

For families who want to get involved in the World Cup celebration at Seattle Soccer House there will be a family zone called “the Pitch” that is supposed to have a mini-turf and craft areas and I am also curious about the sensory-friendly lounge that I’ve been hearing will be there too. (I will update when I learn more) Today, the city also announced 1400 youth and their caregivers will be invited to watch World Cup in Seattle that will be drawn from participating local youth organizations and you can find out more about that initiative here.

How about food options?

I like that in addition to the eateries in the mall (like Din Tai Fung and Pike Place Chowder) and in Nordstrom , there will be food and drink pop-ups in Seattle Soccer House. Giveaways, mascot visits, and interactive fan activities all sound like they will help get many people connected to the World Cup beyond the stadium matches too.

And a way to get involved and explore Seattle if you’re getting excited about World Cup in our city now

Also have you been playing SEA and Win? I just figured out how to use the tour features in the app to get a few tickets/points at Pike Place Market.

And once World Cup starts let me know what you think of Seattle Soccer House if you visit here or on my instagram too!

(PS. you can read about other World Cup Seattle watch parties in this post as well)
