Sezane: a pop-up from Paris in Uvillage we want to keep in Seattle for as long as possible

Sezane Seattle at University Village
Spread the love

*an update: Sezane is no longer at Uvillage when I went by in April, but hopefully it will show up somewhere in our city again soon.* The other day I had an invite to Sezane, a new store that has popped up in Uvillage which is also one my favorite places to shop in Seattle. Uvillage (or University Village) is near the University of Washington and it has free and easy parking, so we often eat there at Din Tai Fung or Ba Bar if we have soccer in the area. My guys also take their driving lessons nearby so I come to Uvillage as a distraction so I don’t have to think about them on the road. And when I found out that Sezane is a clothing store from Paris, it definitely seemed like it would be a welcome addition. ( And this also made me realize we haven’t been to Paris in 10 years! 10 years!!)

And Sezane is perfect

I haven’t really been into clothing since my autoimmune treatments-these treatments really affected my face and my body and body image already is so so tough in our world. But the minute I walked through the door and saw all the different textures and colors and styles-I instantly fell in love. This is a brand I’ve never worn pre-autoimmune treatments so I don’t really know how they would look on “before me”. And there are so many beautiful accessories to go with all the clothing too. I was gifted a sweater that I think I’ve worn nearly every day since I visited. It’s so warm and we’re finally starting to get a bit of a chilly undertone in the weather in Seattle. (Does anyone else live for sweater season?)

Sezane gives back to the community

Companies that give back to their communities are important to me and I’m sure that’s important to you as well. Sezane has “Solidarity Creations” that give back on the first Wednesday of every month. On that day “Sezane donates 100% of the proceeds from a pink solidarity piece and 10% of the daily sales from the denim collection to The Pink Ribbon Foundation.” And already Sezane has also given a lot of joy to our Seattle community too. I’ve seen a lot of posts about people receiving flowers and bags on their Seattle Sezane shopping trips and I think this is a really lovely way of popping into a community and it makes me look forward to seeing more of what they do in our city. Sezane is also a B Corp certified and according to its website “3/4 of the materials in its current collection are eco-friendly” too.

What to buy at Sezane (just in case my husband sees this post)

As for pieces I have my eye on, I do love the Claude Bag (I think it’s one of their original pieces) but I’m waiting for one in a smooth neutral tone. I want to try the Matilda Ballerinas the next time I visit the shop because I’m looking for ballerina shoes with a slight heel and I’m hoping these might be super comfortable. And of course I’m looking for sweaters and specifically at the Jose Jumper and the Trudy Jumper. (I adore the buttons on this one so much!)

So far Sezane at Uvillage in Seattle has been extend at least until March

Originally what I heard was that the store was only supposed to be in Seattle until January and when I last visited it sounds like we now have at least until March. So I guess if we all keep shopping…..

Have you shopped Sezane before? And if so I’d love to know your favorite pieces!

(PS. we managed to stop in at the Sezane pop up in London when we were there in November and there was a cute coffee stand where you could buy coffee in cute little Sezane cups too.)
